Hey folks!
Hope everyone had a great and safe Halloween Weekend. I just wanted to drop a line to clear up some stuff I saw some people were being confused about in Demon Hunter Kain.
The relation between Kain, Amani, Kevin and Liana:
Yes they are all related by blood, but distantly so. Liana is the matriarch of their clan which began around 2,000 to 2,400 years ago (this is me going under the rough generational time line of 25 to 30 years equaling one generation), Liana has been around for 80 generations. Remember all her offspring and their offspring, etc, carry the demon hunter bloodline but there’s only a 5% chance that those abilities would manifest in any of those children.
Liana’s children (which is a story for another day) were scattered all around and eventually had children of their own and those kids had kids of their own, etc. So to Kain, Amani and Kevin, Liana is the Great80 Grandmother of them all. However their bloodlines are so diverse and thinned that if Amani and Kevin were to have kids their wouldn’t be any problems with their children.
The current situation between Kevin and Kain and Amani:
Kain had a serious crush on Amani from the moment he laid eyes on her. Kain didn’t like Kevin at first because he saw that Kevin was everything he wasn’t and that made Kain jealous. But the two formed a bond and when Kain asked Kevin if he liked Amani, Kevin told him no, that he was interested in a girl at his school. Alas, when Kain asked that question it was a year prior to the events you are currently reading.
