Evening folks! I’ve had a few fans asking on the status the next Demon Hunter Kain chapter. I’m currently working on pages. Unfortunately I still do not have a delivery date to offer, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to show you all a screenshot of what I’m working on.
Happy Thanksgiving y’all!
Here is a Demon Hunter Kain page coloring video. I hope to make more of these from time to time.
I was supposed to upload this video the same day its comic page was released but it wasn’t edited.
Hope you all enjoy it.

Good evening everyone.
Sorry for taking so long to talk to you all. It’s been a hectic weekend and this week has also been the same. I tried to get this week’s Kain page done by today but no such luck. I’ll have to postpone it until August 17th.
That was the bad news.
The good news (since my last post) is that I am back to working full time. So my current mission is to replenish my savings and try to keep Kain going on its regular schedule.
In other good news Demon Hunter Kain issue #1 (Chapter 1) is available on Comixology!!! That’s right! Now you can take Kain on the go with you on your cellphone or tablet! Help support the comic, it’ll be much appreciated.

That’s all I have to report right now. As always thank you all for your support and for reading. Enjoy the rest of the week and weekend, I’ll see you back here on Monday morning.
Peace.
Good Morning Everyone,
Well it’s been almost three months since I departed, due to life issues. Well as you can see I have returned, along with Demon Hunter Kain.
First and foremost, thank you all for the support and encouragement, it was all heartfelt and very much appreciated.
Now, let me explain what caused the hiatus. On August 1st of 2014, my job of nine years let me and my co-workers go due to the company being bought out by another company. This was no big deal to me. I had savings and a severance package and unemployment checks to see me through. That being the case, I took a “little” break from the workforce and kept up with Kain and took the time to hang out more with family and friends (something I hadn’t had the chance to do as much while I was employed.).
However… I got too comfortable. Before I realized it February was upon me and still no job, or leads or anything, I stupidly squandered my time and I started to panic. I tried to keep doing Kain but I couldn’t focus on it, my mind was now focused and scared by my lack of employment. So I unfortunately put Demon Hunter Kain on hiatus so I could put all my time into finding a job.
As of this writing I am glad to report that I have found myself a part-time job with another one possibly in the works. The really great part is If I can get both I’ll still have time to keep writing and drawing Kain.
So there it is folks, I wasn’t physically ill nor my family in trouble, I was just too complacent and panicked when I finally realized my complacency. Again thank you all for the support and well wishes, it really meant a lot to me. And a really big thanks to you all for continuing to read and support Demon Hunter Kain.
Sincerely,
Burrell Gill Jr
Good morning folks. I hope you all enjoyed today’s new page. I wanted to let you know that I did an interview a few weeks back for the website Myfutprint.com, where I discuss Demon Hunter Kain. Give it a read when you get a chance!
Have a good one!
Once again Demon Hunter Kain’s extremely talented editor Lynne Yoshii has been featured in another web interview, this time on Flickeringmyth.com. GO! READ!
Hey everyone! I came across these old thumbnail images that were originally supposed to be pages 1 through 4 of Chapter 1. Thought you might get a kick out of them. Peace!
Transferring to the new web host is now complete. I still have a few odds and ends to fix Demon Hunter Kain is back online.
Good afternoon everyone, and Seasons Greetings!
I just wanted to let you all know that I uploaded the digital copies of Chapter 3 to the site’s DOWNLOADS page.
Plus, I’ve also added a zip file containging the first Demon Hunter Kain Desktop Wallpaper for you to download as well. Take a look at the image below so you know what you’re getting.
Enjoy your holidays folks, and remember to be back here on January 7th, 2013.
Well we’ve come to the end of another chapter, I hope you’ve all had fun reading it. Thank you for joining me on this ride through New Babylon with Kain and Zandalee. And thank you one and all for the comments and encouragement, it is truly appreciated.
Chapter 4, is currently in the works, and this is usually the part where I tell you all that the comic will be back in two weeks. I have to give out bad news at this time: Demon Hunter Kain will not return until January 7th, 2013.
Please, put down your pitch forks and torches, I have good reason and need for this extended break.
I want and need to build a page buffer. I’ve been drawing a page a week from the beginning of the series and it’s starting to wear thin now. I love writing and drawing Kain but I’ve been shackling my self to my Cintiq every weekend for far too long because of my self-imposed deadlines and for that feeling of accomplishment when a new page is done (That feeling of accomplishment is a hell of a drug.). Also the buffer is security. It’d be good to know that I have extra pages of Kain ready to go if I get sick or need to run out of town for a couple of weeks.
I thank you all in advance for your patience. I will be giving updates along the way and a few sketches here and there. So until January 7th, all of you take it easy and have a good one.
Hey everyone! Just in case you’re interested I uploaded a video of me digitally inking Chapter 3 Page 13 of Kain. Enjoy!

Hey everyone, my friend and Demon Hunter Kain’s editor, Lynne Yoshii has been featured on The Mary Sue website, see what they have to say about this extraordinary artist CLICK HERE and then go check out her Deviantart page. Trust me, her art will blow you away!
Hey everyone! I recently had the opportunity to be interviewed by David Yoon, author of Spoon, and Contreras, author of Blade of the Freak, for their podcast show: Promateurs. Give it a listen when you get a chance.
How’s it going everyone? I just wanted to say thanks for all the comments and encouragement, your enthusiasm and interest in Demon Hunter Kain has me primed to deliver more story and art.
When I first started drawing the webcomic I didn’t think many people would get into it, and I didn’t think my art or story was good enough since I was so out of practice with my drawing and story-telling not to mention it literally took years of poking, prodding, brow-beating and even threats from my friends and family for me to write and draw something. I had the characters and a story that I was sitting on for far too long and it had to be told. It was a challenge drawing all the pages, even now it still is, yet I cannot express the pride and joy I feel when I complete a page.
Of course there is a draw back to this joy: I wish I could do more work on Kain. I wish I could leave my 9 to 5 and dedicate full weekday hours to Kain. Maybe then I could have two to three page updates per week instead of just one every Monday. But alas I need a roof over my head and food in my stomach.
Again thank you all for joining me on this journey and I hope you get as much excitement out of it as I do.
Peace.
